Australia head coach Justin Langer will have to change his coaching style if he is to continue playing his part, the Under Under Cricket Review warned at the end of the season. A report, based on sources in the Sydney Morning Herald, said the 50-year-old received "strong and clear" feedback from 40 players and support staff about his coaching style as part of the team's regular season finale.

Earlier this year, after weak India again beat Australia 2-1 in their own hideout, some players expressed dissatisfaction with Langer's style of government due to the intensity and mood swings. Langer was appointed head coach in 2018 on a four-year contract after Darren Lehmann stepped down following a ball-fixing scandal.
The players also expressed dissatisfaction with the team manager, Gavin Dowie. Langer's response to input for the remainder of the year will determine whether he gets a new assignment. "This is practically the same as the process before the last World Cup and Ash in 2019, when the team was strong," said Ben Oliver, head of the CA national team, in a statement.
"This is part of our ongoing commitment to improving the pitch and beyond, and we hope to have a similar advantage in preparing the team for the upcoming T20 World Cup and the ash house," he added.
The report said leadership advisor Tim Ford, who led Steve Smith and David Warner's reintegration into the team two years ago after the ball-fouling ban, had also gone through a second review process.
"Ford practically interviewed the players at the end of the home season and their responses remain anonymous."
"... looking deeply at the well-being of the players at the end of a difficult season, he asked them what they thought of the team's values and what they needed to update when they last qualified for the process with him two years ago."
Next week he will share the results of his report with Team Payne team leaders Pat Cummins and Aaron Finch.
"Langer will also receive feedback from the Ford report, although the comments are not as harsh as the players' ratings at the end of the season," the media report said.

Assistant coach Andrew MacDonald received good reviews from the players and said he was more approachable. "Contrary to what was reported from the locker room over the Australian summer, the players in public spoke brilliantly about the mood and the team at McDonald's, where Examiners Party members were attracted by its more approachable nature."
